CBD · cannabidiol

If cannabinoids were a family, CBD would be the steady one everyone else is introduced through. It's the most researched, the most used, and the foundation of every product we make.

What CBD is

CBD (cannabidiol) is the most abundant cannabinoid in hemp. Discovered in the 1940s and studied intensively since the 1990s, it's the compound most people mean when they say "CBD products" — and the reason a hemp aisle exists at all.

Your body runs an internal signaling network called the endocannabinoid system — receptors and messenger molecules involved in mood, sleep rhythms, appetite, and how you process stress. Your body makes its own cannabinoids to talk to this system. Plant cannabinoids like CBD interact with the same machinery, though in an indirect, gentle way — CBD doesn't strongly bind the receptors that THC does, which is a big part of why it doesn't intoxicate.

What researchers are studying — and what people report

CBD is one of the most-studied plant compounds of the last two decades. Researchers have looked at it in the context of stress response, sleep quality, exercise recovery, and general wellbeing. We won't tell you it treats anything — that's a line honest brands don't cross, and the science is genuinely still maturing.

What we can tell you is what people consistently describe: a settled, even feeling. "The edge came off." "My shoulders dropped." "Bedtime stopped being a fight." It's subtle — more like the floor becoming level than a wave washing over you. People who expect fireworks are disappointed; people who wanted steadiness tend to stay for years.

Isolate vs. full-spectrum — and why we chose isolate

You'll see three words on CBD labels:

  • Full-spectrum — the whole plant extract, including up to 0.3% THC.
  • Broad-spectrum — THC mostly removed, other compounds kept.
  • Isolate — CBD purified to a single compound: nothing else, and crucially, no THC at all.

Chime & Chill is built on CBD isolate, then re-composed deliberately: we add back specific cannabinoids (CBG for our AM, CBN for our PM) and let terpenes carry the character. That's how every product — including the vape — can test non-detect for THC at a NYS third-party lab. It's the only honest way to promise "you will not get high" and mean it batch after batch.

Time-of-day fit

CBD is the anytime cannabinoid — it's in our morning, evening, and focus products alike. What shifts the character is its partner: CBG tilts it daytime-bright (our AM "Energize"), CBN tilts it evening-soft (our PM "Relax"). If you're starting from zero, the TRIO ChimeCard ($15) gives you one pre-dosed serving of each rhythm to meet them all.

Where CBD shows up in our line

Everywhere — it's the spine of the brand. Single-serving Oral Solutions (AM, PM, PMU), the K.O. Double Dose for seasoned users, the ChimeCard day card, the K.O. vape and Concentrated Care crumble, and our skin care & aromatherapy line. All pre-dosed or lab-quantified, all safflower-based where an oil is involved, all zero-THC non-detect.

Ready to try something gentle?

Every Chime & Chill product is pre-dosed, zero-THC (non-detect), NYS lab tested, and nut-free. No measuring, no guesswork, no high.
